Manufacturing systems (Strategic Systems International package Protos). Protos is due to be replaced by another
system. I am solely responsible for user support on Protos until it's demise. The role is extremely varied.
My duties include resolving user queeries on all aspects of Protos and as such I deal with all levels of employees.
I maintain all interfaces to and from Protos and other systems.
I have written programs to remove redundant data prior to the data takeon for the new system.
I implement all new releases of the Protos software.
I have developed training courses and trained a number of users in the Protos report writer programing tool.
HTML - I Developed and maintained the IT departments Y2K Intranet site. This consisted of 20 - 30 web pages.
Visual Basic - I have developed a number of Visual Basic applications. Incuded in these was an interface that extracted
employee time clockings via DDE from the Site Access Control system and passed them to the Time Management system.
Manfacturing systems (Strategic Systems International package Protos). I was responsible for specifying and writing programs to extract invoice and credit note information from the Protos Sales Order Processing module. These extracts were then loaded into ORACLE Financials Accounts Receivables module. Customer information was then passed back to Protos and I was responsible for specifying and programming the programs to load this customer information onto Protos.
I was the only person within the IT department working on this computer. I was responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the HP and all program maintenance on the Aviation Fuel Prices system.Installation of an electronic link (DAILAFILE) between the HP and VAX for daily transfer of fuel prices.

Programmed a data archiving system written in NATURAL. Programmed the management information system, also written in NATURAL.
Helped support a PC based package, designed to record and transmit details of aircraft fuellings from airports around the country to the Harlow office on a daily basis. I visited many airports around the U.K. installing upgrades to this package.
Designed and programmed a transport system used to produce details of loads and export documentation. Designed using De Marco structured analysis techniques and programmed in POWERHOUSE. Purchasing system maintenance.
